This place has a very impressive set-up as a Local business! Very welcoming atmosphere and Therapist, and she definitely knows what she is doing. I scheduled an appointment a couple days before I needed it and she was conveniently available at the exact time I was hoping for! I told her about my problem area which was my knee area, but I didn’t discuss any other details about what I needed- I almost worried about it (what if she only works on my knee, or will I need to tell her about it when I get there?) but, I decided to just keep the faith. Over time I’ve learned that, when something goes unmentioned, it means ‘they got this’; not all the time, but most of the time. When we began the appointment we talked about my problem area again, and then I got set up and we started - And lo! The Therapist immediately found my other knots (I have a tough back) and she let me know what was up. The pressure she used to alleviate the knots was perfect! I’ve never visited a female due to my own personal reservations and based on what I’ve heard from others, but for the issues I had with my tense muscles, she used a very non-agonizing amount of pressure to help them. Come to think of it, in comparison to my previous [Male] Therapists, I’d honestly say that their methods were.. quite* agonizing, throughout the sessions! I recall saying ‘ow’ at least once in every previous session I’ve had. So for that, I was very impressed, and humbled. This whole process was much more convenient than, say filling out a ‘chart’ at a regular venue to tell the upcoming Therapist what my issues were- I really enjoyed the personalized feeling of someone just discovering the issues for themselves by applying their long-time skills to their work, vs having an ‘interview’ with a newly-graduated Massage Therapy student. When the session was over, the Therapist gave me all the advice I needed to help my problem area, as well as info on what she discovered during the session :).

I am definitely grateful to find such a convenient venue for my massage needs, within only 6 months of moving to the beautiful state of Washington! As a Local business owner myself, I’m definitely enthusiastic about supporting a Local Profession, especially since it doesn’t mandate a membership! The impression I’ve received from the Seattle area so far, is that it definitely seems to strive (and honor) many local businesses- much, much more commonly than where I lived in the Southwest. Thank you so much for your hospitality Anna Woolley! Truly an honor to become acquainted with you and your lovely business :).

Having multiple massages prior to receiving treatment from Zen Stone and Massage, I had expectations heading into the appointment. Any expectations I had set, Anna proceeded to blow out of the water. Her hospitality and comforting nature really makes you feel at ease no matter your experience level with massages, all while exhibiting superior professionalism. The massage is by all means, the best I have received thus far. The hot rocks made me nervous originally, as I had never experienced them before this particular treatment, but it was executed perfectly as a wonderful compliment to this talented masseuse. Anna is very attentive to your requests and needs, I went in with pain in my lower back and she went above and beyond to relieve the issue I had brought to her attention. Overall, I would recommend Zen Stone and Massage to anyone looking for a high quality massage. After experiencing Zen Stone and Massage once you’ll be itching to return.
